"'I don't have a candidate I'm supporting and I'm certainly interested and excited by the hope that Barack Obama is inspiring,' he said, but went on to accuse him of a 'phenomenally inhuman and unconstitutional' voting record.

"'I hope that he will understand, if he is the nominee, the degree of disillusionment that will happen if he doesn't become a greater man than he will ever be,' Penn said."

Too bad the press didn't go more in-depth on the "inhuman and unconstitutional" comment. I'd be interested to know what exactly he was referencing.

As for Penn's last sentence, didn't really make much sense: "If he doesn't become a greater man than he ever will be." HUH?? LOL, goofy Sean Penn.

I hear he's been on steroids for a while now, maybe his balls have shrunk as much as they can and now his brain is shrinking?

A heartfelt opinion indeed - clearly based on empathy and personal experience.

You indeed have my commiseration, sir or madam or neutered entity.

Nah, mine are full and fluffy and a delight for the ladies. You feeling insecure there, lil fella?

Such a spiteful boy. Perhaps your mother can pamper you further.

You need to clarify to whom you're responding for it to have the fullest impact, libsRf.

Does it really matter? So many idiotic statements from which to choose. Tell your mother I still love her ;)

avatar

Nope, no impact at all. But nothing new there.

"Nah, mine are full and fluffy and a delight for the ladies."

proudly dangling from your rear view mirror. no dice?

Nah, he's probably got a pair of those fake nuts hanging from his bumper. Who gives a crap about his stupid nuts - only libsrfunny - what a surprise - that's the best his kind can do.

As much as I dont like BHO, I like Sean "Wingnut" Penn even less. I am sure BHO is shaking in his boots with a WARNING from a sackless libtard like Penn.

oh wait, BHO is a typical liberal clown so I am sure he is really upset that Penn is not happy.

Classic!

Sean Penn a "Hollywood A-listers"

Is that one of the signs?

Actually makes perfect sense. Break it down - Penn is saying that Obama has generated so much hope-hype that his supporters will be greatly disappointed unless his leadership after the election rises to meet the mark of his hype before the election.

Penn is also suggesting that Obama doesn't have it in him for his leadership to rise to the level of his hype.

Funny that Penn is getting bashed for this. I would have expected that the list's reactionary dull-normals would be in agreement one hundred percent.

No, it makes no sense whatsoever. You cannot "become greater than you ever will be." Put down the bong, Spicoli, Jr.

"You cannot "become greater than you ever will be." Put down the bong, Spicoli, Jr."

If I owned a bong, it is threads like this that would inspire me to make use of it.

Hell is unlikely to freeze over, and pigs will never fly. These are still useful expressions. Penn's point is actually the same as yours; for Obama to not disappoint those who look to him as some sort of messiah, he will have to be greater than he in fact ever will be. This is impossible, and so his faithful followers will inevitably be disappointed if he does make it to the White House.

I am a little confused...In the article they say they think this is one of the most important elections in history, or words to that effect, but then say they do not have a candidate. What did I miss here?

Penn is a fine one to caution Obama.

avatar

"Penn is a fine one to caution Obama"

He conferred with Saddam Hussein before doing so.

You didn't hit the bong often enough to understand.LOL

tbk

I think you'd have to be sucking on a bong to understand Penn.

avatar

I don't think his brain has shrunk because that would be saying he had one. This man keeps trying to be relevant but never quite makes it. What a moonbat.

Personally, I am phenomenally disillusioned that Sean Penn hasn't become a greater actor than he ever should have been.

avatar
Reply

That's a statement I'd go along with.

Penn's early promise, on-screen, has not yet amounted to a "great" career, by any means.

avatar

But at least its a reasonably sensible subject of discusssion which is wasted on this thread.

avatar
Reply

Yeah, Nixie, he is a really bad actor. Do they pay him for those flops?

avatar
Reply

lemme guess.... you're an arnie/reagan/heston fan, right? lol

avatar

Come on you know you all want to say it.

Just tell him.

Hey Spicoli, get back in the van.

You know you all want to say it. I do.... lol.

LMAO!!!

"Dude, that was my skull!!"

Man, I forgot about that movie. I'll have to watch it again.

"What's wrong with a little feast on OUR time?"

He did have some classic lines in that one.

A super noninteresting story about very little of substance!

Oh I dont know bout that.

WE Christian Conservatives LOVE Hollywood.

We believe in it. And we vote the way Hollywood tells us.

Thats why we always vote for Actors that become politicans.

Well, liek Ronald Reagan, Ahnold Swartzenagger, Fred Grandy, Fred Thompson, Sonny Bono, James Cavieziel, Mel Gibson, Kelsey Grammer, and Jesse Ventura.

Fact is, if we Righties see you on TV - thats as good as bein blessed by Jesus.

avatar

Wasn't Fred Thompson a politician who became an actor?

avatar

Ahh .. don't interrupt guppy when he's cutting and pasting from his liberal sources.

Ventura wasn't Republican, and James Cavieziel, Mel Gibson and Kelsey Grammer never ran for office.

Guppy's never been one to let facts in his way when he's ranting.

avatar
Reply

See? libsR knows his acters from his politicains.

But I liek how you refuse to take ownership of even your own Republicans libsR.

Its liek, NOBUDY is right wing enough for you. Even when they donate and stump for Republicans.

Sigh ...

Another American lost to his self loathin.

avatar
Reply

Ohh Don't you worry, Guppy, if Al Franken can pay his back taxes and penalties for screwing his employees out of workers compensation and unemployment coverage, he just might win that run for U.S. Senate.

Then, of course, Alec Baldwin is talking about running, too. But, he needs to stop screaming and berating his lil daughter, first. Poor girl. Daddy Baldwin is sooooo mean to her.

avatar
Reply

ACtually Nixie, if you were payin attention ... you would more liekly have commented that 3 of them Actors dint run for office.

Geesh! Do I have to do ALL the work for us Christian Conservatives?

avatar
Reply

Well Goopy, I didn't recognize a couple of their names, from acting or politics. And I hadn't heard of Kelsey Grammer running for anything, but that doesn't mean he isn't running for Mayor of Seal Beach or something. It's best to comment on the things you know about, you should try it sometime.

If your on TV then you are blessed by Jesus?!!!!!

Wow... time for another shot of Scotch.

But wait a minute?????.....Does that mean that Bill OReilly is a blessed by Jesus conservative saint?

avatar

Yeah, sucks when entertainment and news collide. The reporter could have had a decent story with some follow-up questions. But, must have been there for the movies and sunshine and parties

"A super noninteresting story about very little of substance"

LOL you expect ANYTHING of substance to come out of Penn's mouth???

Sean who?

Oddly enough ranch, you mirrored my thoughts exactly.

I liked the part where he says it is impossible to separate film from politics.

Only in your world Sean
