Celebrities – Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez has praised Sean Penn for his critical stance against the war in Iraq, saying the two chatted by phone and soon plan to meet in person.

When is the illustrious Sean Penn relocating to Venezuela...him being such a Patriotic American...throw in that former Massachusetts Congressman, Joesph Kennedy for taking out advertisements promoting his friend's OIL from good ole Venezuela...Kennedy buys Venezuelan OIL and resells it to poverty-stricken citizens for one-half the going price of OIL in the cold winter months [ a one time delivery per customer]....both upstanding Americans....yeah, sure!!

Unfortunately though, too many people DO look at entertainment celebrities as guideposts to politics, political issues, etc.

I have to give Penn his due though... it takes balls to stand up and throw Hugo support considering the way Hugo is demonized (inaccurately of course) in the American press.
