Medical reasons? What medical reasons? Because she was depressed? You or I would still be in jail. This will just make celebs think they can get away with murder!
More details here (but not really, doesn't say anything else except story history). My guess is someone got a lot of pressure from the Hiltons ... or some money.

I'm seriously disappointed in this. Perhaps because they offered to build the Hilton wing in the new prison..

It's depressingly true that celebs do get away with whatever they want. I'm sure the long of STD's she has qualify as a 'medical condition' wouldn't want that to spread in jail.
The only way to make this silly idiot go away is not to buy one d**n thing with her ridiculous picture on it.
If there's no profit, no one would care one wit about her.

Re: Medical reasons?
I bet there weren't any medical reasons. Just a coverup for the media. Money talks...BS walks. But in this fantasy world, this piece of BS walked back to mommy and daddys mansion after serving almost 3 days.
Paris, we're not laughing with you... we're laughing at you.

After 72 hours in jail, my guess would be DTs, de-toxing.
72 to 96 hours with out your drug of choice is about the time when an addict will really start to hurt.

In the long run, we are all to blame. When we allow useless folk like Paris and Lindsay to become near deities by our rabid attention to every detail of their lives, we prepare the way for this sort of thing. If one of their adoring fans were in the same situation, I doubt that they would receive anything like this treatment. When will we learn to respect people for actual achievements that are more substantial than appearing in a film or two, drinking, clubbing, and having lots of money? Not only does the CA court seem idiotic, this matter also appears to prove that they really can be bought. We have met the enemy and they are us! (Walt Kelly, POGO year unknown).

Sorry, but I am not taking the blame on this one. I have never asked for the media to follow this aimless twit around just so I can be entertained, nor do I care to watch the crap they gather on her. Got more to do in my life than hang on everything ever printed or filmed about celebrities. Gag.
I work in the justice system where we send people to jail all the time. This is a JOKE. I realize that the taxpayer bears the burden of providing medical care to inmates, but no one out there can tell me she is seriously ill with anything other than, "OMG, you mean someone has to watch me pee???

This collective guilt is crap. The blame lies with our judical system that caters to the rich and famous. They should have at least put some explosives in her ankle bracelet that would explode if she left the confines of her imprisonment. (This last sentence was a joke, so don't have stroke, folks.)

While everyone is complaining about the system, you make the right choice in looking at the root cause. We choose putting these politicians in office who screw up the system. We choose to worship money, fame.
The system we have now are based on economy, money, and power for a few. What else do we expect?

"The judge ruled that she was in violation of the terms of her probation in an alcohol-related reckless driving case."
Reply-

protoham1 year, 3 months ago
Her violation of probation was because she was driving on a suspended license that the Judge took away because of the original DUI conviction. With her money she could have easily had her chauffeur take her any place she wanted to go.
You know if you or I was convicted of DUI we would be in a world of hurt, but when you have unlimited money you can get away with almost anything. At least in this case no one was hurt.

Although she could have easily been convicted of DUI (she blew over the limit), that charge was not pressed. She was convicted (plea bargain) of reckless driving. She was given 3 years probation and her license was suspended.
A little over a month later, she was stopped for (speeding?), and notified that she was in violation of her probation because she was driving. She had her court papers in her glovebox at the time, and argued that her license had only been suspended for 30 days (it hadn't). The officer who made the stop had her sign a statement acknowledging that she understood that the license was still suspended and she was not to drive, and let her off with a warning.
Paris claims she thought the officer was in error, and continued to drive. Some time (weeks?) later, she was again stopped, for speeding and driving at night with her lights off. That time she was given formal notice that she'd violated her parole, and summoned to court.

I think OJ was held for over a year. So if they could accomodate OJ and his baggage why could they not take care of Paris for her 23 days or what ever rediculious sentence she received ? I did not want her in jail I wish her family could have made a LARGE donation to some really worthy cause.
I am glad she is home tonight but how long do you think it will be before she breaks house arrest ?

She has 3 (or 5 depending on the counting) more days of jail than I have ever served. But, then again, I have never done anything to get me sent to jail in the first place.

The media doesn't hate her- WE hate her. WHY is this useless, talentless NOTHING newsworthy? Getting busted is the only thing she has ever done that DESERVED the kind of coverage she gets. And by the way (there are photos of her on the internet as a child) the blue eyes are contact lenses-her eyes are actually dark brown.

If it were the average citizen Joe or Jane you can be sure that they would have served most of it. I agree that if you do the crime you should do the time. I would not doubt it if she goes back to driving drunk and God forbid she kills someone, but then again she would have the money to pay the victim's family off as well. Justice is blind in some cases and just plain ignorant in this case.

Well this shows how pathetic and lost American society has become. PRISONERS GET BETTER HEALTH CARE THAT THE ADVERAGE AMERICAN, SO WE KNOW THIS IS A FALSE EXCUSE. Once again, she has proven that if you have money and your family has influence the system does not apply to you.
I WILL SAY THIS!
NOT TO MAKE THIS A RACIAL ISSUE, BUT THIS IS WHAT THE JUSTICE SYSTEM FEELS LIKE FOR MOST BLACK PEOPLE! IF YOU CANT AFFORD A LAWYER THAT PLAYS GOLF WITH THE JUDDGE THEN YOU ARE SCREWED.
PLAIN AND SIMPLE LOOK AT THE PEOPLE THAT ARE OVERWHELMINGLY MORE LIKELY TO BE ARRESTED AND GIVEN THE DEATH PENALTY.
I THINK THE FEELING EVERYONE IS FEELING OVER THIS REFLECTS THE REALITY OF HOW CURRUPT AND UNJUST OUR SOCIETY HAS BECOME, THIS SITUATION BRINGS IT MORE TO LIGHT
THE COMMON MAN/WOMAN IS A PESANT IN THE LAND OF THE FREE!
NEXT TIME SEND PARIS TO SCARED STRAIGHT SO YOU WONT WASTE TAXPAYER's MONEY!.

Er, no, they don't. They get better health care than the average American who doesn't have insurance. Anyone who has insurance gets far better care than the average prisoner.
Although nearly every jail has a policy stating that no prisoner will be denied medical treatment, the reality is that it often takes several days for a prisoner's medical complaint to be seen. Although there is a lot of malingering (moderately surprising considering that most jail inmates are not forced to work), there are also invariably cases where someone's condition deteriorates because they are not treated in a timely fashion.
Preventative health care is almost unknown. The thought is that jail prisoners will not stay in the jail for more than a year, so regular checkups are not performed. Jail dental work does not include cleaning, for example.
Still, this is BS. Inmates who are released for medical reasons usually go to the hospital, not to home.

Wait till the general population gets so riled and irritated by this anorexic wraith's behavior that they finally take it out on those who are most responsible for her lack of responsibility and respect for our society - her parents!
Maybe, a general boycot of the Hilton Hotels might infuse some common sense in parents and misbegotten offspring...

What is needed is a neck shackle instead of the ankle bracelet.
Self evident that there are laws for the privileged and laws for the masses.
For the masses, you need to stop convicting, thereby stop convicting yourself through more taxation and regulation that the privileged do not have to face.

I just want to know what medical condition she came down with that justified releasing her to her home instead of to a hospital (where she'd be in a locked ward, chained to a bed, or have a guard posted at the door to her room).
I suspect the real reason it hasn't been released is because if it was common knowledge, inmates all over the country would be coming down with it!

I agree with you about the first part. On the second part, it's called "I'm a celebrity and shouldn't be treated like this." What's sad is all that bull she was saying about wanting to be an example. Now she's an example of how money and fame, once again, can influence people to do what you want. Why wasn't a county doctor called in to examine her? Why was only her doctor allowed to do so and make the decision? She was in a facility or ward of a facility where she was not under any harm from other inmates. Harvey Levin said that most sentences for DUIs are a couple of days. I don't know anybody who has only served a couple of days. But he forgot that she violated her probation by driving twice and getting caught. Let's face it: she couldn't take the confinement and because of her money and family, she was allowed special treatment and released. Now she's under house arrest in her home. Some punishment, confined to her mansion for 40 days.
